Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sasha

01What do you attribute your success to?

My father always told me to show up to work and to do the job well and to strive for more while being proud of where you are. Those lessons stay with me every day.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Showing up as who I am authentically and being willing to learn from others. Be humble to learn from everybody around you regardless of where they are in their career. You never know today I'm your boss tomorrow you're my boss.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't be afraid to stand up and say your opinion. There's not always going to be an opening for you. You need to make your own.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The landscape has so many competitors. It's figuring out how do you stand out and create loyalty with guests so that they keep choosing you over and over.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity. I don't want to have to be two different people. Be who you are and be proud of who you are in every stage of your life.
