Her Story

About Sasha

I’ve been in the mental health field for 12 years, and my passion for this work began at a very young age. I’ve always been naturally observant and attuned to people’s emotions and behaviors, which ultimately led me to pursue this career.

Supporting individuals through life transitions and emotional challenges is incredibly meaningful to me. I take great pride in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable opening up and being their authentic selves. My work focuses on helping individuals gain deeper insight, while also equipping them with practical tools they can apply in their daily lives—whether that’s building self-awareness, setting healthy boundaries, and improving emotional regulation.

I am the founder of Healing Rose Therapy, a practice I’ve been cultivating for the past five years, where I support both insurance and self-pay clients. I work primarily with adults ages 18 and older from diverse backgrounds and experiences. In addition to my clinical work, I am a qualified supervisor, mentoring and guiding social work interns as they pursue licensure as clinical social workers.

Looking ahead, I’m passionate about expanding my impact beyond individual therapy sessions. I’m interested in leading workshops, engaging with the community, and providing education around topics such as burnout prevention, self-care, self-awareness, and boundary setting. I’ve found that many of the challenges individuals face are deeply rooted in these areas, and I’m committed to helping people build healthier, more balanced lives.

Ten minutes with Sasha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a genuine passion for helping others and a deep commitment to making people feel seen and heard. From a young age, I’ve been highly observant, naturally attuned to the emotions and experiences of those around me.

That awareness led me to this field, where I’ve been able to turn that passion into purpose. I take great pride in creating safe, supportive spaces where individuals feel comfortable enough to open up, grow, and fully be themselves.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stop waiting for the perfect moment and just start. There will always be something you feel you need to improve, but growth happens in the process.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women entering this field to never lose themselves while trying to help others. This work is beautiful, but it can also be heavy. Prioritize your well-being, set healthy boundaries, and give yourself permission to rest without guilt.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One major challenge is burnout, especially in a field that requires constant emotional presence. However, this also creates an opportunity to shift the culture—encouraging therapists to prioritize their well-being, set healthy boundaries, and show up in ways that are both impactful and sustainable.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity and empathy are the core values that guide both my work and my personal life. I believe in showing up as my genuine self and encouraging others to do the same. Empathy is at the heart of everything I do—it allows me to connect with others in a meaningful way and support them without judgment.
