What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, adaptability, and a genuine love for the work I do. My career began in India with a degree in computer engineering, leading me to a role as a developer a path I continued after moving to the US, specializing in 401(k) plans. After taking time to raise my children, I returned to the workforce as a Business Systems Analyst, leveraging my technical foundation in new ways. Today, as a Director in the retirement space, I take pride in building and improving essential processes while continuously challenging myself to grow. I believe consistent hard work, a positive attitude, and a willingness to take on new opportunities are key to success. Hurdles are not setbacks they are growth opportunities, and overcoming them is both rewarding and energizing.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the financial services industry is to embrace challenges with confidence and curiosity. Don’t be afraid to take on new opportunities, even if they push you outside your comfort zone. These experiences are where growth happens. Build a strong foundation of skills, stay adaptable, and always maintain a positive attitude. Outside of work, I find balance and inspiration in traveling, cooking (I’m a foodie at heart!), walking my dog, and spending quality time with family and friends. These moments recharge me and remind me of the importance of work-life balance.
