About Saunya
Saunya Clark is a retired railroad professional who dedicated 25 years to the Washington Metro Transit Authority, advancing from custodian to railroad worker in charge. She started in the track department as a laborer, becoming the first female in that role, and later moved to the structure department where she was also the first woman, progressing to track preparer and head person in charge. Clark holds a degree in education from Sojourna Douglas College after attending Central High School and Wilforce University, and she remains active in the Local 689 railroad union while supporting her community through Largo Community Church.
