About Savanna

Savanna Fernandez is a Senior Customer Success Manager with 15 years of experience in the tech industry. Her main areas of expertise include understanding the human dynamic, strategy and complex problem solving, and the ability to streamline processes. She studied fashion marketing at Trade Tech in Los Angeles without completing a degree and later earned her PMP and cloud AI certification to advance her career. Savanna attributes her success to a drive to achieve better than where she came from, break glass ceilings and generational curses, and serve as the person in her family who shows the way and provides for others. She values the highest integrity, continuous learning as a constant student, open-mindedness, doing her best work at all times, and consistency. Outside of her professional life, she donates to battered women's shelters and works with children. Savanna advises using your network, making yourself uncomfortable, and knowing that you belong in every room you want to be in.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Savanna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to just wanting better than where I came from, breaking glass ceilings and generational curses. Being the person in the family that shows the way, that's able to provide and navigate. Failure was an option for me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to use your network. I used to isolate myself and be the lone wolf, but building your tribe and utilizing the people that you know can really help you accomplish things.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Make yourself uncomfortable, and know that you belong in every room that you want to be in.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

In a world of AI, the challenge is people knowing how to use their tools and resources to the best of their ability to give themselves a good work-life balance and avoid burning out. The opportunity is for women to take chances on themselves, put themselves out there, and jump on stretch assignments even if not 100% ready instead of waiting until they feel fully prepared.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are having the highest integrity, continuing to learn and educate yourself knowing that you're a constant student, being open-minded, doing your best work all the time, and consistency is key.
