Ten minutes with Savanna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my passion, which motivates me to stay committed, keep learning, and consistently give my best.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice that I've received is to not stop at the limit of your comfort zone. Is to constantly be expanding beyond where you are, and where you want to go, and feeling confident enough to build the bridge between you and where you want to be.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say, too, I would the advice that I would provide is to never stop observing yourself, experiencing what you're experiencing. In day-to-day experiences, and the reason being is when we can look at ourselves outside of our mind. We can navigate quite literally anything.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I would say that a lot of the challenges that I see faced are what's called imposter syndrome. And so a lot of the times people are pedestalizing other individuals who are front-facing and you experience this internal comparison which can produce an experience of imposter syndrome.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are precise communication, sovereignty, stewardship, agency, and authenticity. I believe in communicating clearly, staying grounded in my values, taking responsibility, honoring individual agency, and remaining genuine in both my personal and professional life.
