About Savannah
Savannah Douglas is the owner and operations manager of the Blue Giraffe Day Spa and Salon in Ashland, Oregon. She has spent ten years in the health and wellness industry, beginning her career as a licensed massage therapist after completing her certification at the Ashland Institute of Massage in 2016. Douglas advanced through roles including head of the massage department and management positions at the spa before purchasing the business in January of this year. She earned an associate of arts transfer degree from Rogue Community College and is completing her bachelor's degree in organizational leadership and project management at Arizona State University this year. Douglas is also a member of the Ashland Gallery Association, through which the spa features and sells work by local artists.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Work smarter, not harder. Especially in the wellness industry it's very easy to work for people that are not really operating in the way that they should, and to end up wasting a lot of time. I really believe in working smarter and not harder. Think about what you're making, is it worth it, what's the work you're putting in.
