Her Story
About Savvy
I've been working in art technology for a long time, bridging the gap between art and technology. My current role at a small startup involves fabricating and operating custom drawing machines for artists and consulting on their projects. Previously, I hosted a platform for artists' creative writing with community building and feature development. I started as an artist with a bachelor's in fine art from Korea and a minor in dance theory, then pursued programming interests before getting my master's in Interactive Art and Computer Art from Pratt Institute last May.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You have to find your own way. Even with degrees, your career is what you build yourself. I chose to stay in this niche industry because it's what I want to do, and nobody's going to set the direction for me. You can actually be anything, and my career went from nowhere after college to a great job working with amazing artists after pursuing my master's.
