Before joining Family Promise, Seanna contributed her expertise at St. Mary’s Food Bank as a Development Specialist, and at Mission Possible Cafe as a Social Enterprise Supervisor, where she provided vocational training and work experience to individuals in rehabilitation programs. She began her career as a Radio Producer at McMurray Communications, demonstrating early on her talent for communication, organization, and community engagement. Her professional journey reflects a consistent dedication to serving others, building capacity in people, and fostering meaningful connections with stakeholders.

Seanna holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Chandler/Gilbert Community College, graduating with a 3.5 GPA. She has earned certifications including Fundraising Essentials from NonprofitReady and Raiser's Edge Fundamentals from Blackbaud, reinforcing her expertise in nonprofit operations and donor relations. I attribute my success to setting clear, achievable goals and consistently working toward them. Having a focused direction allows me to prioritize effectively, stay motivated, and measure my progress along the way.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to learn anything and everything I absolutely need to. Focusing on acquiring essential skills and knowledge has allowed me to adapt, grow, and tackle challenges with confidence.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to learn—continually learn—and invest in educating yourself. Staying curious and committed to growth will open doors, build confidence, and help you navigate challenges successfully.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is interviews—specifically, the difficulty of conveying my true personality in a structured, high-pressure setting. At the same time, this presents an opportunity: finding creative ways to authentically showcase who I am, while demonstrating my skills and professionalism.

The value that is most important to me in both my work and personal life is integrity. Being honest, reliable, and true to my principles guides my decisions, builds trust with others, and ensures I stay aligned with my goals and ethics.
