With more than 10 years of hospitality experience, she previously worked in a regional capacity overseeing seven properties nationwide before choosing to return to on-site operations to foster personal connections with guests and clients. Beyond her hotel career, Newell launched Maison d'Azere Brulant, a premium home fragrance line that includes candles, diffuser sticks, air fresheners, and the Reignite program for vessel refills, all designed to transform everyday spaces into sensory experiences. She attributes her professional and personal achievements to faith, perseverance, and intentionally cultivating positivity, while balancing her career with raising two sons as a single parent over the past decade.

01What do you attribute your success to?

There's only one thing that I will contribute my success to, and honestly, I have to contribute it to God. It's nothing but faith. It's perseverance, and so. And the one thing about it is, I intentionally put good into the atmosphere, and it comes back. It just comes back all the time.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Accept and embrace the fact that as human beings, we have the ability to do anything that we put our minds to. If there's anything that you feel passionate about, fuel it, and be okay with the ups, be okay with the downs, just be okay with saying that you did it. You never want to live a life of what ifs. Always feel your passion.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Definitely family. Family respect. Just be nice. You never know who is who. You never know how this path may cross.
