Her Story

About Sepideh

I own my own immigration law firm and practice with very high moral standards and integrity. I'm a member of the Baha'i faith, and in Baha'i teachings, we strive for excellence in everything that we do, motivated by service rather than money. I get my clients through word of mouth and I never solicit anyone. I find it very inappropriate to ask clients to send clients. I have a very old-school understanding when it comes to my practice, and I do not believe in any of those unethical ways. If you do a fantastic job and put your heart and soul into it, then of course it's very rewarding, and you get the recognition whether you want to or not. I believe that if you are an outstanding human being with high integrity, you don't need to advertise because people will see that. You don't see advertisement for a precious gem - people know it's a precious gem and they acknowledge it. If something is good, everyone knows.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to putting my heart and soul into my work and striving for excellence in everything I do. As a member of the Baha'i faith, I'm motivated by service rather than money. I believe that if you do a fantastic job, it doesn't matter what field you're in, it's very rewarding and you get recognition whether you want to or not. That recognition comes with being excellent. I don't chase after money because when people do things for the wrong reasons, money runs the opposite way. Instead, I focus on being an outstanding human being with high integrity, and I believe that if you have those qualities, you don't need to advertise because people will see that and acknowledge it naturally.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values to me are integrity, excellence, and service. I have a very old-school, high moral understanding when it comes to my practice. I'm a member of the Baha'i faith, and in Baha'i teachings, we strive for excellence in everything that we do, motivated by service rather than money. I refuse to feed into the corruption and moral corruption that exists in our materialistic society. I do not believe in unethical ways of doing business. If you are an outstanding human being with high integrity, you don't need to advertise because people will see that. I believe your work should speak for itself, and if you put your heart and soul into what you do, the recognition comes naturally whether you want it or not.
