Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I think it all brings it back to the intersection of clinical care, quality of care, and access to care. I believe that whole intersection of care to operations and technology has always been what rooted me and has been the foundation for what I do. As one becomes seasoned in their career, they often have to also look back and see what we need to do to ensure that industry remains successful for the ones to follow them. I've done that by ensuring that I focus heavily on workforce development and mentoring of the next generation in healthcare leadership. I'm also a founder of a 501c3 foundation where our only purpose is to provide scholarships and create pathways for students. That passion is where I like to build strong teams and make sure the future of healthcare is accessible and innovative, not only for those in it but for those that are trying to get into that field and those that are actually receiving the care.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find a means to connect with others in this industry. No matter what kind of digital age we live in, the human touch still takes us to the next step. Connect with people in your community, in the industry, have some continued hands-on experience, and create relationships, and that's how you build yourself to be successful in this industry.
