About Serena
Serena Cooper is a program analyst supporting the United States Space Command as a federal civilian. In this role, she serves as a liaison communicating with service components including the Army, Marine, and Navy to resource organizations and help the combatant command achieve its goals, while also engaging with the CAIP Joint Staff at the Pentagon. A combat veteran, Cooper served 11 years in the United States Army, during which she earned the Meritorious Service Medal twice and the Army Commendation Medal. She attended Howard University, where she commissioned as a United States officer through the ROTC program, and is scheduled to complete her master's degree at Johns Hopkins University in May. Cooper is developing a Christian-based nonprofit organization focused on helping young women find true confidence by identifying their gifts in their teenage years and creating business solutions to help their local communities. She is also the author of the book When the Dust Settles, From Fire to Faith, available on Amazon, and remains actively involved with her church organization.
