Shakira Kennedy

Shakira Kennedy works in accounting and financial operations, where she has spent the past two years handling invoices for her facility, resolving vendor discrepancies, and managing open purchase orders to ensure timely processing. Previously a banker for two years, she is well versed in finances and specializes in accounting of finances as well as real estate. Kennedy graduated with a degree in business management and a minor in computer applied technology. She holds a real estate license in the state of Alabama and a life insurance license, and she is a member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors. In her role, she was hired as a floater but took on all operational responsibilities, including reducing inventory inaccuracies from over 70,000 pieces to about 1,200. Kennedy attributes her success to her faith and Christian upbringing, as well as becoming a mother while still in college, which gave her the strength to complete her education and pursue professional licenses. She advises others to always be intentional and find a career that exercises the mind more than the body.
