About Shalondra
Shalondra Moore, MA, LPC, CART, CSC, is an award-winning Elementary School Counselor, Mental Health Therapist, Mental Wellness Presenter, and CEO of Pearlfection Convo & INK Services in Humble, Texas. With more than 21 years of experience in education and counseling, she provides compassionate mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults while continuing to serve as an elementary school counselor. Her work focuses on promoting emotional wellness, behavioral health, conflict resolution, and accessible mental health care for individuals and families.
Moore began her professional career as an educator, teaching in inner-city schools for seven years before earning her Master of Arts in Counseling and transitioning into school counseling in 2012. Inspired by the loss of her mother at the age of eight and the absence of counseling support during that difficult time, she dedicated her career to helping others navigate life's challenges with resilience and hope. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she earned her Licensed Professional Counselor credential and expanded her impact by opening her private practice, where she provides counseling services for clients of all ages.
Committed to professional excellence and community service, Moore is a member of the Texas Counseling Association, Texas School Counseling Association, Spring Creek Counseling Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She also serves as Vice President of the Blooming After Violence nonprofit organization and is a member of the Ashley J. Dean Foundation. Recognized as an award-winning school counselor and honored in the Be Well Black BIPOC Mental Health Month edition, Moore continues to advocate for mental wellness while empowering individuals to heal, grow, and thrive.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Shalondra
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the incredible mentors who have invested in my personal and professional growth throughout my career. Dr. Angela Powell, in particular, inspired me to pursue school counseling and therapy more than 21 years ago, and her guidance has shaped the professional I am today. Her encouragement motivated me to continue advancing my education and developing my skills. Today, I am honored to give back by mentoring aspiring school counselors and supporting other professionals as they grow in the field.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage every young woman entering this profession to remember that she is someone's greatest source of hope, even on her most challenging days. Let your light shine brightly and remain committed to your purpose, because this work requires dedication, patience, and resilience. Many of the rewards are delayed, but when you reconnect with a client, student, or individual whose life you have positively influenced, the impact is deeply meaningful. Never forget that counselors and therapists are often the heartbeat that helps connect the broken pieces in people's lives, and your work has the power to touch countless lives for years to come.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I am deeply committed to serving others with compassion, empathy, and integrity while advocating for children, families, and individuals facing mental health challenges. My work is driven by a passion for helping people heal, overcome grief, and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. I believe in lifelong learning and continuously pursuing professional growth so I can provide the highest quality care and support. Above all, I value making a meaningful difference in my community through service, mentorship, and genuine human connection.
