Shama Bhargav

I graduated from CU Boulder's Leeds School of Business with a degree in economics and a minor in computer science, completing my undergraduate degree early in just 3 years. I then pursued a 1-year master's program in business analytics, which is data analytics applied specifically for businesses. Before graduating, I interned with Deloitte as a financial advisor and received a full-time offer. I've been working for just under a year now as an engagement financial advisor at an analyst level, staffed on a big tech company account where I manage large portfolios. My work involves budgeting, forecasting, and identifying trends to drive efficiency and optimize margin, and I help our leadership team, including partners and senior managers, make strategic decisions for planning and staffing their projects. I'm most proud of building dynamic models and deliverables that go beyond the traditional scope of my profession. I've stepped outside typical roles and skills by learning Apps Script and automating processes to save time and reduce human error. The models I've built have been implemented across other client accounts, which has been incredibly rewarding.
