Her Interview

Ten minutes with Shama

01What do you attribute your success to?

Remembering the why I do it, because I know remembering the why when it comes to helping people and being an influence. My faith in God combined with the why is what my key for success is.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be present in the moment. Keep priorities lined up and be there 100% no matter what is right in front of you.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Think long and hard about your message and what you are delivering. Make sure it's to build somebody up or encourage somebody else or offering some kind of advice. Business is all about solving problems so make sure you're solving some type of problem.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Opportunities include making a difference in the lives of other people. Challenges include not having a clear message or not being healed yourself before trying to help others, and people getting into the field for clout rather than offering benefit.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Loyalty, integrity and character are the biggest three for me.
