About Shanda

Shanda Catrice is a brand strategist and creative director with about 20 years of experience. She founded Art of Presence, her own brand studio, where she helps women leaving corporate America align their next chapter with their spirit through programs that blend intuitive guidance and creative strategy. Catrice works with speakers, authors, and thought leaders to develop signature experiences and intellectual property that allow them to be recognized for work that matters. She holds a fine arts undergraduate degree and a fine arts graduate degree. Her background includes work as a filmmaker, at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and as a brand manager for major companies such as Amazon and Chanel. Catrice creates immersive social practice art experiences, such as The Waiting Room, exploring themes of waiting and loss. She speaks and writes via her Substack on reinvention, loss, grief, identity, and the nuances of aging as women across different cultures. Her core values center on creative legacy, utilizing gifts from a divine force, and cultural contribution to ensure progress for what comes after. She attributes her success to her magnetic personality, resilience built from life experiences, and strong spiritual practice in African Traditional Spirituality. Catrice previously volunteered as a coach for psychedelic integration, providing education and facilitating monthly circles.
