About Shandra
She is a strategic consulting, operations, and service delivery leader with experience in process improvement, M&A integration, professional services, customer experience, and operational transformation. She currently serves as Managing Director at SMVP Consulting, helping organizations solve business challenges and improve performance. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at Donnelley Financial Solutions, RR Donnelley, and Bowne & Co., leading service delivery, operations, project management, and customer service teams. She holds a master’s degree in Industrial Management and Technology from Central Michigan University.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Being a lifelong learner and being intentional about the spaces I'm in and the people I spend time with. I always want to learn more and be where there are people who can pour into me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be afraid to step into an area that you're not 100% comfortable with or ready for, because if you are 100% ready the opportunity to grow has passed you by. You can learn on the journey.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay confident, know your worth, never second-guess who you are and what you bring to the table. Know your worth and stand on it. Be okay and comfortable in spaces where you may be the only one or one of few.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Opportunities include innovation and how technology helps do work better, smarter, scale, reduce costs, and learn new skills. Challenges include finding the right talent with the right DNA, aspirations, and makeup to thrive in this space.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, loyalty, trust, transparency. I show up the same in personal and professional life, with mom as my first role. No one ever has to wonder what I'm thinking or if I'm going to be there.
