Shanell Brown

She is an experienced education leader with a strong background in school counseling, student support, and school administration. She currently serves as Assistant Principal at the City School District of Albany and is also President of Black & Brown Educators of the Capital District. Her career spans nearly two decades in education, including leadership and counseling roles in Albany, Schenectady, and South Colonie, where she has focused on creating supportive school environments and helping students succeed. She also holds advanced leadership certifications in both School Building Leadership and School District Leadership from The College of Saint Rose.
