Her Interview

Ten minutes with Shanieka

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my success comes from consistency, adaptability, and my commitment to developing people. I’ve grown through multiple roles across operations, technical support, workforce planning, and leadership, and that gave me a strong understanding of the business. I also believe in leading through coaching, accountability, and solutions.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My mentor told me to always have a mentor, give back by mentoring others who need guidance, and don't be afraid of challenges. She emphasized continuing to get guidance myself while providing it to others.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell her to keep learning, speak up with confidence, and not be afraid to take on new challenges. Build strong relationships, find mentors, and trust that experience and consistency will help build your credibility over time. "May your purpose be greater than your platform"

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

A big challenge is balancing performance, change, and employee engagement while still delivering a strong customer experience. A major opportunity is improving training, process consistency, and employee development so teams can perform at a higher level.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, accountability, service, and growth. I believe in doing the right thing, following through, supporting others, and always looking for ways to improve.
