Shaniya Kanhai

I started my career as a beauty advisor and retail sales associate, where I developed strong foundational skills in customer service and product knowledge. I then advanced into my current role as a brand ambassador, where I promote beauty brands and work one-on-one with clients. Instead of being a beauty advisor talking about skincare, I went on the other side of actually promoting the brands and working directly with the clients. I work in travel retail at the airport, which gives me the opportunity to meet people from all different places with different backgrounds and opportunities. I feel like it's a great aspect to be able to expand my knowledge and meet new clients. Prior to this, I gained a lot of customer service experience dealing with communication, building relationships with people, and getting to understand them. I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's degree with plans to transition into project management, as I'm interested in the fast-paced world of technology, AI, and business growth. I like being able to manage different projects and having deadlines - I like the pressure because it makes me want to do more.
