Her Story
About Shannan
Shannan Norris has spent more than 20 years building a career in the trucking industry, a journey that began in 1999 and has been shaped by hands-on experience in nearly every facet of the business. Her background spans running trucking companies, securing loads through direct customer contact, coordinating fleets, managing invoices and accounting, preparing fuel tax reports, and overseeing mechanical reporting. Along the way, she has cultivated lasting relationships with independent truckers and has guided several companies through the process of moving away from broker-dependent models toward more direct, asset-based operations.
Today, Shannan serves as a National Account Manager, where she focuses on business development, customer loyalty, and delivering reliable, asset-based logistics solutions. She currently supports a large reefer fleet and a food-certified warehouse operation, giving her clients dependable capacity and flexible service. Her approach centers on clear communication, consistency, and treating every customer relationship as a true partnership, values that have earned her a reputation as a responsive and detail-oriented professional throughout her career. She holds a high school diploma, completed after initially leaving school, as well as a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from ITT Technical Institute.
Beyond her professional achievements, Shannan is driven by a philosophy of persistence, crediting her willingness to never give up as the foundation of her success, along with her husband's role in introducing her to the trucking world. She lives by the advice that no should never be treated as a final answer, a mindset that has carried her through decades in a demanding industry. Outside of work, she finds joy in raising organic beef Angus cattle and caring for her two capuchin monkeys, and she gives back to her community by donating Old English Bulldogs to children with disabilities and bottle baby calves to local 4-H programs.
