About Shannon
Shannon BUSHAY owns Another Chance Care, her healthcare business based in Columbus, Ohio. She entered the healthcare field 32 years ago and has worked in it since 2003, beginning as a state-tested nursing assistant in nursing homes, palliative care, hospitals, and prisons. She later moved into medical records, obtained her medical billing and coding certification, and advanced through roles in billing at chiropractor offices, ophthalmology, federally qualified health centers, Trinity Health, and home health before becoming a director. She earned the CRCR credential through HFMA, focusing on physician revenue cycle management. Today she leads Another Chance Care with a clinical director and staff to deliver behavioral health and crisis services in the community while awaiting Joint Commission accreditation. She partners with Shands Academy and Thrive Forward Youth Program to support youth and provides transitional housing for women exiting prison. Shannon BUSHAY attributes her success to the foundation and expectations set by her parents, her father's encouragement to finish what she starts, her mother's prayers, and her desire to build a better life for her children.

01What do you attribute your success to?
The foundation that my parents laid for me and some of their expectations. My father told me that as long as you finish anything that you put your mind and your hands to, you're going to be successful, and I stood on that. My mom prayed me through a lot of things. And my children, just wanting to be a better person.
