Her Interview

Ten minutes with Shannon

01What do you attribute your success to?

I am relentless. I don't give up. I don't turn down jobs. I've billed hundreds of thousands of dollars a year just because I don't give up.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Sue Burnett is such an inspiration. I just look to her and say, can I be you when I grow up? She's an influential woman who started the company over 50 years ago.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be relentless. Don't turn down jobs and opportunities. Networking is 100% key. Be engaging, be outgoing, be personable. Your reputation is huge.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Clients taking too long expecting candidates to wait. Candidates presenting themselves well but not being what they portray. Our product has an opinion of their own.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being authentic is so important. Loyalty is huge to me. I care about my people and only spend time with people I know I can trust.
