Shannon Thek Prier

Shannon Thek Prier is a dynamic creative professional and community builder whose work bridges fine art, strategic marketing, and social impact. As the Artist/Owner of THEK Art & Design and the Marketing & PR Manager at Mise en Place in Tampa, Shannon has spent over a decade blending her passion for visual storytelling with her talent for connecting people and causes. She also curates and leads programming at The Studio inside Mise en Place, a collaborative space focused on amplifying local artists, nonprofit initiatives, and underrepresented voices through exhibitions, events, and design-forward campaigns.
Shannon’s background in fine arts, mathematics, and graphic design, along with her strategic leadership style, has led to measurable impact—boosting event sales, expanding community partnerships, and elevating brand visibility across the Tampa Bay region. Her work is fueled by the belief that creativity is a catalyst for change, whether she’s organizing a benefit art show, mentoring emerging artists, or repurposing materials for local educators and shelters. Recently named a 2025 Gasparilla Emerging Artist, Shannon’s influence extends beyond her local community, with upcoming exhibitions including a digital showcase at MEAM in Barcelona.
Passionate, hands-on, and mission-driven, Shannon continues to find purpose in using her artistic voice to uplift others—while encouraging collaboration, sustainability, and bold creative expression in every project she leads.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my family—especially my grandfather, a mathematician who inspired my love for problem-solving—and to my mentor, Marianne Ferentz, whose guidance helped shape my professional journey.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are curiosity, connection, and quality time with loved ones. Traveling—like my first international trip to China and upcoming family trip to Paris—reminds me of the importance of shared experiences and making meaningful memories together.
