With 25 years of human resources experience - including 15 years specializing in people analytics, workforce planning, and HR systems - Shannon has built a career at the intersection of business strategy, talent strategy, and data-driven decision-making.
Her experience spans multiple global organizations across diverse industries, including LyondellBasell Industries, HP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, McKesson, and GE Aerospace, where she has worked to empower leaders with data, and led strategic workforce initiatives designed to ensure organizations have the right talent, skills, and capabilities to achieve business goals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a key role in workforce planning efforts that helped stabilize critical workforce capacity supporting vaccine distribution - ensuring talent readiness during one of the most operationally demanding periods in recent history. She has also led workforce initiatives in global organizations, including projects supporting international mergers and acquisitions, with deep experience navigating cultural integration and operating across global business environments.
Her work is grounded in a passion for translating business strategy into workforce strategy: using analytics to inform workforce investment decisions, identifying and mitigating workforce risks, and building practical plans that strengthen organizational resilience and execution. She is equally committed to developing strong teams and advancing talent through thoughtful leadership. Her thought leadership includes published work such as Winning at Workforce Planning: Turning High-Performance Strategies into Action, and Workforce Planning: The Promise of Integration, contributing practical perspectives on enterprise workforce strategy and execution.
She holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature with a minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and an MBA focused on International Business and Human Resources from the University of Houston. She earned HR Certification Institute's SPHR Certification in 2005.
Shannon lives in Dallas with her husband, Jeff, and kids, Brooks and Vale.
