Shannon Wong is the CEO and visionary co-founder of SIDES, an innovative technology company focused on transforming the acting and casting experience. Founded in January 2025, SIDES is an AI-powered, end-to-end workflow application designed to help actors and their representatives discover roles, manage submissions, track opportunities, and verify gigs through platforms such as IMDb. Drawing on her firsthand experience as an actress, Shannon is passionate about making opportunities in the entertainment industry more accessible and helping performers navigate an often outdated and complicated audition process.

Before entering the technology space, Shannon built a diverse career across entertainment, technology, and executive support. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Portland State University, she worked as an events coordinator before serving as an executive assistant to a hedge fund billionaire. At the same time, she continued pursuing her passion for acting, performing in a sold-out play that later moved off-Broadway and appearing in two independent horror films. Her experiences working both in front of the camera and behind the scenes gave her valuable insight into the challenges performers face when searching for and managing acting opportunities.

Today, Shannon is combining her entrepreneurial ambitions with her identity as an artist and technology innovator. She is pursuing a master class certificate through Augment to further develop her entrepreneurial skills and is exploring opportunities in content creation and modeling. Her approach to both acting and business is grounded in resilience, persistence, and the belief that rejection should not be taken personally but viewed as part of finding the right opportunity.
