Shante Alexander, MA, PCC, is an organizational psychologist, executive coach, speaker, and author who collaborates with high-achieving professionals and organizations to explore how success is built, maintained, and often silently paid for—and to help leaders assess whether those costs still align with their values, identity, and long-term impact. She has helped leaders and teams navigate complex transformation, culture change, and leadership development across sectors, including government, healthcare, technology, and mission-driven organizations.

Known for blending research-based psychological insights with deep emotional intelligence, Shante creates spaces where leaders can explore the personal and systemic forces shaping burnout, decision-making, and leadership presence. Her work challenges cultural narratives that equate worth with output and ambition with sustainability, helping individuals and organizations move beyond endurance-based success toward clarity-driven leadership—where results, capacity, and integrity coexist. Through coaching, speaking, facilitation, and writing, she broadens conversations about leadership, identity, and achievement, inviting leaders to redefine success in ways that are both effective and inherently human.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being completely and unapologetically myself. I’ve learned to define success on my own terms rather than trying to meet others' expectations. Recognizing and respecting my own growth, values, and strengths has helped me build a career that feels true to who I am and who I am becoming.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is not to try to do everything by yourself. Real growth comes from teamwork—learning from others, sharing ideas, and building strong partnerships. Success is rarely achieved alone, and being willing to collaborate makes the journey more effective and enjoyable. Using others' strengths will prove that two are better than one.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I’d encourage women entering this field to take the time to really understand who they are and whom they feel called to serve. When you’re rooted in your own values and strengths, your work becomes more aligned, more impactful, and more sustainable. Clarity about yourself makes it much easier to build a career that truly feels meaningful.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge I encounter is continuously attracting new clients while managing administrative tasks, marketing, and services on my own. Many people underestimate the effort involved in being an entrepreneur. Nonetheless, this challenge also provides an opportunity to develop deeper, more personalized relationships with clients and to grow collaborations with other businesses. I am dedicated to building a business that aligns with my vision.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The core values I cherish in both my professional and personal life are spirituality and faith, which inspire my work in coaching individuals from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, I am deeply committed to humanity, engaging with each person with empathy, respect, and understanding.
