Her Interview
Ten minutes with Shanya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I contribute my success to having a very strong backbone of friends and family, and when it comes to what I aspire to do, I really want to continue learning and growing. I'm not afraid to start from the scratch, but what really excites me is every day I wake up, there is a new challenge, and I just want to keep growing.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be curious, and keep exploring that curiosity through learning.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Choose something and commit to it. Dedicate yourself that I'm gonna do this, and commit to it, and then have confidence in executing it.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The greatest challenge facing the field right now is overload of information. Everyone is overwhelmed with information from AI and new technologies. Understanding what information to consume and distilling it down to what is important is very important.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value to me is the ability to be transparent with everyone about what actually is going on, and the ability to keep growing from overcoming obstacles. I'm a very big proponent of making mistakes, implement things, make mistakes, fail often, but don't make the same mistakes again and again.
