Ten minutes with Shari
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of my former supervisors, Matt Rigali, gave me advice after a false accusation at work. He said out of hundreds of people, I'm allowing one person to rent space in my head. Pivot and focus on all the good and people that like and value you. Ever since, about 9 years ago, I stick with looking for silver linings and the positive in everything.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Communication challenges with candidates ghosting after initial conversations; difficulty controlling others' responses like answering texts or calls. I operate by detaching from the outcome and continuing to nurture relationships on both client and candidate sides.
