Sharlene Davis is a dedicated advocate for individuals and communities, currently serving as the Executive Director of Sacred Bridge in Pierce County, Washington. With a career rooted in service, she has also held leadership roles such as Coordinator of Volunteers with the Diocese of Rockford and Resident Aide at Thunderbird Treatment Center. Sharlene’s professional journey reflects her unwavering commitment to uplifting others and creating meaningful opportunities for support and growth.

Sharlene combines her hands-on experience with a strong educational foundation. She is pursuing both a Master of Divinity and an undergraduate degree in Christian Ministry at Colorado Christian University, alongside her prior certification as a Medical/Clinical Assistant from Everest College-Renton. Her academic and professional achievements are complemented by practical skills in medical terminology, phlebotomy, and CPR/HIV/HIPAA protocols, which enhance her ability to serve her community effectively.

Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Sharlene is deeply passionate about helping others navigate challenges similar to those she has overcome. Sober since 2012, she takes pride in supporting individuals on their journeys toward recovery. In her personal life, she enjoys fishing, which brings her inner peace, and cherishes her role as an animal mom to two dogs and a fish. Sharlene’s life and work are guided by compassion, resilience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to recognize that not everyone shares the same calling, and not everyone will be as passionate as you are. Stay focused on your path, and the right people will come alongside you to support and help you succeed.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to do what truly makes your heart happy. If you feel called to this path, keep moving forward, stay focused, and don’t let the opinions of others distract you from your goals.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is finding volunteers who are willing and able to contribute their time and skills.

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are faith, family, and the joy that comes from my fur babies.
