Sharmila Biswas, MBA, is an accomplished entrepreneur, investor, and board member with extensive experience in technology, financial services, and enterprise solutions. A former Technical Client Associate Partner at IBM Consulting, Sharmila has a proven record of delivering transformative results across North America in insurance, banking, and other sectors. Her technical expertise spans Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Data Analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI, and cutting-edge Generative AI, enabling her to drive enterprise strategy, solution design, mergers and acquisitions, and business development with measurable impact. She has led diverse teams across Canada, the U.S., and India, achieving a perfect Net Promoter Score of 10/10 and forging strong relationships with C-suite executives to advance organizational goals.

As a visionary leader, Sharmila has successfully deployed innovative AI solutions, including custom Large Language Models (LLMs) for top-tier clients such as the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Her career includes notable roles at Salesforce, TD Bank, and IBM, where she managed large-scale Gen AI and data projects, optimized operational efficiencies, and drove revenue growth through strategic cloud and analytics solutions. Beyond her corporate accomplishments, Sharmila serves as Founder & CEO of SB Elite Capital and as an investor and advisory board member for Quasar Markets, demonstrating her entrepreneurial acumen and commitment to fostering innovation and business growth.

Sharmila holds an MBA in Marketing from Brock University and has further enhanced her technical and AI expertise through certifications from Harvard University and IBM. I attribute my success to perseverance. Every time I encounter a barrier, I push forward, using the challenge as motivation to achieve my goals.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to follow your heart and pursue what you are truly passionate about. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve something. Stay curious, embrace continuous learning, and never stop growing both personally and professionally.
