Dr. Sharon Bradni, DNP, NP-C, PMHNP, RNFA is a highly skilled nurse practitioner and surgical first assistant based in Fresno, California. She then trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA), ultimately earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) through Fresno State and San Jose State University. Early in her career, she served on cardiovascular and thoracic surgery units and joined cardiothoracic surgery teams, later transitioning to neurology and neurosurgery in 2017, reflecting her passion for helping patients navigate complex surgical journeys.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never give up, because there is always a way forward.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to trust God, have confidence in their abilities, clearly define their goals, and recognize that no obstacle is too great. If you truly want something, don’t let anyone hold you back.
At the heart of my message is this: obstacles are not insurmountable. By setting clear goals, trusting yourself, and staying persistent, you can achieve long-term success. I emphasize that faith, consistency, and resilience are essential keys to reaching your full potential.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I face in my field right now is navigating language barriers. At the same time, this challenge presents an opportunity to develop stronger communication skills, build patience, and find creative ways to connect and collaborate effectively with others.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, approachability, being available to support others when needed, and my faith. These principles guide how I interact with people and make decisions every day.
