About Sharon
I started my business in 1994 after trading cooking for personal training sessions since I couldn't afford rates. With a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, I created basic meal prep like chicken, rice, and vegetables that grew into a full business as no one was doing meal prep then. I lost the company for three years due to a bad partnership but won in court and restarted in 2014 from nothing, building it back stronger as a local Houston business. My focus is on healthy eating in moderation without deprivation, adapting through different life stages like perimenopause.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from perseverance, providing excellent old-school customer service, maintaining high product quality that I personally monitor, and treating all customers well regardless of spend amount.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be prepared to work a lot. Focus on customer service, product quality and consistency, keep expenses down, and take care of your employees. Remain humble and never take your business or customers for granted.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Increased competition since COVID and finding good employees from the younger generation who seem less willing to work. Also adapting to rapid technology changes.
