Her Story

About Sharon

Sharon Seibert is a chiropractor based in Valley Center, California, who has dedicated her career to helping patients achieve lasting, pain-free wellness through natural, corrective care. Her path into the profession was born out of personal hardship: following a serious car accident, she endured months of debilitating migraines that traditional medicine failed to resolve. It was a chiropractor, recommended by a friend, who ultimately helped her recover fully within a year, an experience that reshaped her understanding of the body's capacity to heal itself and set her on a new professional course. That firsthand transformation led her to leave her previous path behind and pursue formal training at the Southern California University of Health Sciences, after earlier pre-medical studies at San Diego Mesa College.

Since establishing her practice in 1990, Dr. Seibert has built a career centered on the nervous system's connection to overall health, nutrition, and long-term, relationship-driven patient care. She has since transitioned from operating a large, multi-employee clinic to running a solo practice, where she now provides individualized care and online health assessments focused on nutrition and vitamin needs. Practicing in a field that was overwhelmingly male when she began, she navigated exclusion from professional circles and skepticism from parts of the medical community, yet she found in chiropractic the flexibility to balance a demanding career with family life. Her memberships with the American Chiropractic Association and the San Diego Chiropractic Association reflect her continued engagement with the profession throughout her career.

As she approaches retirement over the next five years, Dr. Seibert has shifted her focus toward mentoring younger associates and refining the culture of her practice so that its patient-first philosophy endures beyond her own tenure. Rather than measuring her legacy by the number of patients she has treated, she sees it in the multi-generational relationships she has built and the values of empathy, credibility, and education she has instilled in her practice. Her guidance to those entering the field remains rooted in her own experience: choose a path that aligns with what feels right personally, rather than one shaped by external pressure or financial incentive alone.

Ten minutes with Sharon

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the credibility I've built with my patients over the years, along with the long-term trust that develops through consistent, quality care. That trust is what fuels strong word-of-mouth referrals, and it's allowed me to treat multiple generations within the same families.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women entering this field to find the practice model that genuinely resonates with them and to trust their own instincts rather than letting others dictate their path. When you follow what's truly in your heart instead of chasing money, you set yourself up for a far more fulfilling and enjoyable career.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Early in my career, I faced challenges as a woman in a male-dominated profession, including being excluded from informal professional networks and encountering limited referrals from the medical community. I also see an ongoing need for more research, greater multidisciplinary collaboration, and stronger business training within chiropractic education. At the same time, there are real opportunities in this field, from the flexibility to balance family and work responsibilities to the organic growth that comes from community word-of-mouth, as well as expanding into online health-assessment services.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Credibility and patient trust are central to how I approach my work, and I place equal importance on prioritizing my family alongside my professional responsibilities.
