About Shatae
She is a dedicated educator, instructional coach, and program leader with over eight years of experience in education, mental health, and leadership development, currently serving as Next Level Leader Program Director at Black Alabamians for Education, where she provides strategic vision and oversight for leadership development initiatives supporting educator growth and community impact. She also serves as Instructional Coach and Teacher at Legacy Prep, where she leads curriculum alignment, instructional planning, and teacher mentoring. Her career includes serving as Elementary School Teacher at Gadsden City Schools, and as Child & Adolescent Co-Therapist and Case Manager, providing trauma-informed, in-home therapeutic services to youth and families. She holds a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Jacksonville State University. She is recognized as a passionate, student-centered, and equity-driven leader who is deeply committed to academic excellence, holistic development, and empowering educators and communities to create lasting impact.
