About Shaunte

Shaunte Douthitt brings more than 15 years of experience in the print technology industry to her role with Ricoh in Lexington, Kentucky. She oversees day-to-day operations, service delivery, and fleet services for healthcare accounts, acting as a bridge between the company and customers to maintain equipment uptime and ensure seamless access to patient records. Douthitt is a Certified Medical Assistant who earned her credential from the College of Technical Education. She is currently enrolled at Western Governors University, where she expects to complete a Bachelor's degree in Business Management by the end of 2026. In 2021 she was recognized as a Star Performer, ranking in the top 2 percent on the North Service account. Douthitt advises professionals to take ownership of their careers and encourages young women entering the field to remain teachable, adaptable, and coachable.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Take ownership of your career. Don't wait for someone to see your work, but basically, you are the best advocate for yourself, so you need to take ownership and direct your next career.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be teachable, be adaptable. You don't have to know everything coming in. And just be coachable.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges right now in my field is that we are a printer technology company, so at AI or a technology event, it's the use of will printers become obsolete? So I think that would probably be the biggest maybe challenge right now.
