Shavon Brown

Shavon Brown is a results-driven Senior Accountant with over 15 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, and strategic planning. Currently at The Key, a home care company, she specializes in lease accounting and debt-related tasks, partnering closely with Treasury to ensure proper management of corporate obligations. She also manages month-end close processes, reconciliations, and audit documentation while implementing systems to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls.

Before joining The Key, Shavon worked in property accounting at Murphy USA and Murphy Oil Corporation, where she directed the implementation of lease accounting software, oversaw fixed asset management, and prepared financial statements for senior leadership. Her career has been marked by versatility, taking on varied responsibilities ranging from lease and property accounting to fixed-asset work, which has helped her develop strong analytical skills and adaptability across financial operations.

Shavon holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and is a candidate for CPA certification. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she volunteers with organizations such as United Way, the Salvation Army, and local autism initiatives.
