About Shavonne
Shavonne Moore owns and operates Lorraine Financing Company, which she launched in November 2021. With approximately three years of experience in the mortgage industry, Moore focuses on educating clients about the home buying process, credit repair, and various programs such as DPA options that many people are unaware of. Her background in healthcare administration and business management, currently being pursued through a bachelor's degree at Capella University with a concentration in healthcare management, informs her approach to client education. Moore previously owned an art counseling practice and draws from personal experiences, including a stroke in 2019 and brain surgery in 2021, to maintain her drive and help others achieve stability and generational wealth through homeownership. She advises young women entering the field to follow their passion rather than settling for unfulfilling roles.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Follow your passion. Everybody tells you to pick a career field, but nobody tells you to follow your passion. If you're passionate about doing something and you love doing what it is that you're doing, you'll give your all to it. Going into something that's a 9-to-5 and it's not something that you enjoy doing, it becomes tiring, you become overworked, you become overwhelmed, you don't love it anymore. Follow your passion.
