She attributes her success to faith, perseverance, and a strong support network, and she emphasizes the importance of starting creative work despite fear or imperfection. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, the support system I have around me, and my ability to stay connected to multiple passions that bring me joy. Even during difficult times, these elements help me stay grounded and motivated to continue creating.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to be myself and embrace my uniqueness. I’ve learned that trying to replicate others limits growth. My individuality is what connects me to my audience, and authenticity is what sustains long-term success. I also believe in building work that I genuinely enjoy, because burnout often comes from creating things that don’t align with who you are.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to do it scared. You will never feel completely ready, and perfectionism can stop you from starting altogether. There are people waiting for what you have to create, so start now, even if it feels imperfect. Growth only happens through action, and you cannot reach your future potential without beginning today.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the fear surrounding artificial intelligence and how it affects artists. Many creators feel discouraged, but I believe AI is simply a tool, and its impact depends on how it is used.
At the same time, the biggest opportunity is the internet. Social media platforms allow creators to build audiences, share their work, and grow their brand without needing traditional gatekeepers. Even with health limitations, I am able to create, share, and build my business from home using digital platforms.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Rest is one of the most important values in my life. I believe sustainable pacing leads to better creativity and long-term success. I also value faith, perseverance, authenticity, and maintaining joy through multiple interests. Protecting my well-being allows me to continue creating meaningful work without burnout.
