Sheila Golrang

I studied economics for both my bachelor's and master's degrees, graduating with my master's in 2010. Finance has always been a passion of mine. I started my career at HP, where I focused on cost optimization in terms of service delivery for lease customers. In 2017, I joined Intuit, starting in sourcing and procurement as a data analyst. I worked my way up to the finance centralized data team, where I currently work. Throughout my career, I've always been within the cost optimization space. As a working mom of two, my priorities have shifted. I left a management role because I wanted more time with my kids, and now I continue as an individual contributor. Looking ahead, I want to continue what I'm doing but at a higher level, so I can help the next generation grow and have more influence in making daily lives more efficient for my clients, including leveraging AI. Beyond my professional work, I'm heavily involved with the Swedish school in San Diego. I'm Iranian but grew up in Sweden, and my mom's side lives in San Diego, so I've been coming here every summer and Christmas since I was young. I teach at the school, working a lot with kids between 4 to 6, which has always been a passion of mine - teaching languages. I speak four languages: Swedish, Farsi, Spanish, and English, and I've always wanted to share that gift with others.
