Her Story

About Sheila

I work in real estate, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to serve my clients. My approach is all about thinking outside the box - whether I'm working with sellers or buyers, coordinating with escrow and other agents, or researching available storage areas. Including seeking affordable single-family homes with attached garages for clients moving to new cities. I've been recognized with many awards over the years, but what matters most to me is giving back to my clients. That's where I put my energy - not in seeking accolades, but in doing the work that makes a real difference in people's lives. I know my value comes from the dedication I bring to my work every single day.

Ten minutes with Sheila

01What do you attribute your success to?

Research & Dedication. Hard work & accountability.

Family.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received came from my husband when we were dating. He told me be aware of your surroundings, look around, be careful & thoughtful.

That advice has stayed with me throughout my career and life. It's about being present, being mindful, and protecting yourself in an increasingly unpredictable world. Even more so now, people are so challenged and dealing with "just" life. Which can be unpredictable and you have to be vigilant. That simple guidance about awareness has shaped how I approach not just my work, but every interaction and situations I encounter. It is very important to be present for your Family and Friends and Clients.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice I would give to young women entering the Real Estate world is to really like what you do. That is very important because Real Estate is challenging and rewarding at the same time.

Every day is different and as Independent Contractors, we must be aware that we are responsible for not just making a difference but setting goals for ourselves. And then carrying through with those goals. I always like the adage:" Treat people like you want to be treated". With respect and appreciation.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in our field right now, is being able to assist Clients with their next chapter in their lives. Affordability is one challenge that everyone is dealing with in California.

Whether that is as "A First-Time Home Buyer", "Move -Up Buyer" or "Seller who needs to sell and downsize their Legacy home. And Investors who are looking to maximize their real estate portfolio.

I love to assist families with their next step in Real Estate because it is challenging and rewarding, knowing you are making a difference.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity and professionalism are values you can't buy - you have to have that in you. I believe in giving back to my clients rather than seeking recognition for myself. I know my value, and I don't need plaques on the wall to prove it. I've received many accolades over the years that I don't even put them up anymore. What matters to me is the hard work I do every single day for the people I serve. I also value privacy, especially in today's world where people are challenged and stressed. Life is difficult and we need to help people who are asking for a hand up, not a handout.

. I'm private about my personal life and selective about my social media presence, keeping my Facebook limited to family and immediate friends. Being aware of your surroundings, kind to people and staying grounded in what truly matters - that's what guides me.

The finest compliment I have ever received is a referral from friends and past clients. Thank you.
