What do you attribute your success to?
I think my most notable achievement was just following my path and owning it, even with the naysayers. When I went back to school and followed my dreams, that was huge for me. I think there's only two people in my family, in my immediate family, one nephew and myself, to finish college. So that was a huge accomplishment. I was able to combine my music business passion with my healthcare experience when I was on tour with Jimmy Buffett during COVID as their COVID compliance coordinator, which was a highlight to say the least. But honestly, completing college at 40-plus and graduating valedictorian from Full Sail University, winning 4 course director awards and their Advanced Achievement Award, and being president of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars for the chapter, that's what I attribute my success to. Just following my path and owning it.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
"Don't be afraid to take risks and don't be afraid to start over if something's not working"
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I've always been steered towards the service area, helping people, and nurturing. I really like to just help people and be that person that's making things run smoothly in the background. What I love to do is organize, develop systems, and workflows that work. Veterans and military are very near and dear to my heart because I come from a military family. I've volunteered frequently with Operation Homefront and Platoon 22. Girl Scouts is really big for me, and anything empowering women and girls is important. I also served for 12 hours a week as a volunteer EMT with our county Fire and Rescue while working 8 hours a day. Autism is another cause that's important to me because both of my children are on the spectrum. Community service and being there for others has always been a part of who I am.
