Sheila Riley
Sheila Riley is a seasoned medical device sales leader and people manager with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, currently serving as a Regional Sales Director. She has spent the majority of her career in medical device organizations leading commercial teams, driving revenue growth, and building strong clinical and customer partnerships. With a foundation that includes time in nursing school, she has always been guided by an innate desire to help people whether supporting recovery from illness, improving quality of life, or contributing to life-saving medical procedures.
Throughout her career at companies including Aerin Medical, Sheila has earned multiple honors such as President’s Club recognition, Circle of Excellence awards, and Representative of the Year distinctions, reflecting a consistent record of high performance and leadership. One of her most meaningful achievements came in a recent year when she was recognized on stage as part of one of only three regions to successfully meet annual performance goals. Her experience also spans field sales training, territory leadership, and mentoring teams across competitive healthcare markets, where she is known for developing talent and driving strategic execution.
More recently, Sheila founded her own consulting firm, Champs Consulting, where she partners with former colleagues and organizations that need experienced commercial support without full-time headcount expansion. Her consulting work focuses on patient outreach, helping connect individuals to needed procedures and ensuring communities have access to appropriate care resources. Outside of her professional work, she volunteers with organizations including Children’s Hospital Colorado and the Denver Botanic Gardens, reflecting her commitment to service and community engagement. As a single mother who built her career in a male-dominated industry without nearby family support, she emphasizes resilience, finding a strong support network, and having the courage to ask for help as essential principles in both leadership and life.

What do you attribute your success to?
I think a lot of it was just grit and determination. Anytime someone told me that I couldn't do something, it just made me more determined to prove them wrong. So part of it's probably being a little bit stubborn, persevering, and just being very resilient and resourceful. I've navigated my career as a single mom in Colorado with no family whatsoever, and my son's father passed away. I've been navigating a career, navigating family, keeping a home, just navigating life in general, especially being in a very male-dominated industry. It's definitely been a challenge, so I've sought out others within my industry who may be in a similar situation, and I have a lot of wonderful friends. It's really about finding your tribe and having the courage to admit you can't always do it by yourself, and never being afraid to ask for help.
