With over 16 years of experience across diverse healthcare settings, Shelby specializes in senior wellness, family and provider partnerships, and personalized, preventive care. Her mission is to bridge the gaps in healthcare that seniors often face, ensuring they live with dignity, independence, and safety while providing families peace of mind knowing a skilled professional is guiding their care.
Throughout her career, Shelby has held leadership roles in senior living and hospice care, including Resident Care Director at Sunrise Senior Living and Hospice Case Manager with Sympathy Care Hospice. She has also served as an RN Supervisor at Waters Edge Healthcare and Rehab, consistently emphasizing quality assurance, care coordination, and patient advocacy. In 2025, she launched SEW Nursing LLC, offering luxury concierge-style services such as preventive wellness visits, medication management, caregiver training, and HIPAA-compliant care documentation, reflecting her passion for high-quality, compassionate care.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering this industry that it won’t always be easy—there will be long hours and hard work—but the dedication and effort will be worth it in the end.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is recognizing that you can’t do everything on your own. Learning to delegate, collaborate, and leverage the strengths of others is essential for growth and success.
