She is also a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Transformational Leadership Program, a six-month initiative focused on advancing innovation and leadership in healthcare. I attribute my success first and foremost to God, whose guidance has shaped every step of my journey. I’m also deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my family and friends, who continue to inspire and encourage me. Above all, I’ve learned the importance of believing in myself and recognizing that I am just as capable and deserving of success as anyone else.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Always go after what you want, never be afraid to try something new, and learn to get out of your comfort.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to always stay true to who you are, no matter what life brings your way, as authenticity earns lasting respect. Commit to finishing what you start, and remember that it’s never too late to pursue a goal or build the career you’ve always envisioned.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Building community and creating better communication among the multiple teams.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are faith, family, and meaningful connections. I cherish spending time with my family and friends, and I’m especially proud to be the mother of my daughter, Dr. Jasmine Stephens, who has earned her PhD. My love for church and singing also keeps me grounded and brings joy and balance to my life.
