Shelice Tolbert

Shelice Tolbert is the owner and attorney of Tolbert Legal, a firm she and her husband opened in Gary, Indiana, now in its 11th year. With 26 years of experience in the legal field, including 13 years at a prior firm, she focuses on civil litigation, personal injury, corporate matters, and estate planning. Tolbert earned her undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and her law degree from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. She is completing her 12th year on the Indiana Board of Law Examiners, appointed by the Supreme Court of Indiana. She maintains active memberships in the Indiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Bar Association, and James Kimbrough Bar Association. Beyond her practice, Tolbert has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated since 1996 through the Gary Alumni Chapter and has served on the board of the Gary Literacy Coalition since approximately 2007, supporting literacy initiatives in northwest Indiana.
