About Shelley
Shelley NixonMriscin serves as a sales professional at Turbo Auto Sales, a highline boutique dealership in Phoenix, Arizona. She entered the automotive industry in 2006 after the real estate market declined, having previously worked in high-end real estate in New Jersey and as a flight attendant for several airlines following airline training. Shelley began her sales career young, assisting at her grandfather's construction company and nursery. She earned a scholarship for dance at the University of Arizona and was nominated for the National Association of Professional Women in 2017. Her philanthropic efforts include work with the USO advocating for child orphanages and with the Union League in Philadelphia, along with support for animal rescues, domestic violence victims, and those struggling with drug addiction. She credits her pragmatic and centered father as a major influence on her success and emphasizes values of loyalty, honesty, and integrity in business.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Shelley
01What do you attribute your success to?
My father has been a huge influence. He was very pragmatic, very centered. I have a lot of respect for him since I was a child. Family and having a mentor you respect has helped me.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't let anybody tear down your dream. Always have something creative and something that's lucrative in your life. Focus on learning and reading. Do the thing you fear the most, and the death of fear is certain. Be a leader, don't be a follower.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Loyalty and honesty no matter what. And integrity in business. I want to be able to sleep at night.
