Shelley Snyder: Your reputation is the only thing that travels with you through every decade of your career.

What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?

Shelley Snyder: To me, being an influential woman means having the courage to pivot with purpose. After 40 years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, I realized that influence isn't just a title on a business card. It's about using your accumulated expertise to fill a void for others. I founded 50 Up Health and beauty because I saw a segment of women that were being overlooked. Being influential in 2026 means being a bridge builder. Taking my BS from UCLA and my MBA from Pepperdine, and my decades of medical networking to bring high-level clinical integrity to the YouTube space. It means proving that our value doesn't diminish with age. It compounds. Influence is the act of showing the next generation that you don't have to wait for a place at the table. You can create your own.

What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?

Shelley Snyder: My advice is simple but vital. First, get very quiet. And find out what you truly wanna do. Not what the market demands, not what your family wants, not what other people expect from you, but what do you want to do? And once you find that place, honor yourself by conducting business with absolute integrity. Your reputation is the only thing that travels with you through every decade of your career. And finally, don't let anyone talk you out of it. If I listened to all the naysayers that told me that it was too late for me to to learn video editing, to be an influencer, to do script development, I wouldn't be standing here right now. I've spent 40 years being tenacious. Use the same tenacity. To protect your dream, no matter what age you are. You're capable of learning, evolving, and leading. If you stay honest and stay the course, you'll be unstoppable.
